Operations
To / Until
Get how many hours and minutes there are between two or more times.
- 9 to 5 = 8h
- 9am to 9pm to 5:30am = 20h 30m
Subtraction
Subtract hours and minutes from a time.
- 10:30am – 1:30h = 9am
Subtract hours and minutes from other hours and minutes.
- 9h – 2h = 7h
- 3h – 6h – 2h = -5h
You can also subtract one time from another time and get the inverse of a to operation.
- 9am – 5pm = 16h
Addition
Add hours and minutes to a time.
- 1am + 4h = 5am
Add hours and minutes together.
- 8:07h + 9:13h = 17:20h
Adding two times together will convert the second time into hours and minutes and add it to the first.
- 9am + 10am = 9am + 10h = 7pm
- 10am + 3pm = 10am + 15h = 1am
- 09:00 + 17:50 = 9am + 17:50h = 2:50am
Now
The now button will add the current time of day to the expression.
If the current time is 9pm:
- now + 8h = 5am
- now to 7:30am = 10h 30m
Entering Expressions
Multiple values and operators can be entered in the same expression.
- 9am to 5pm – 12:00pm to 12:30pm = 7:30h
Times can be entered in a wide range of styles and formats.
- 9, 9:00, 900, 9:00am, 900am, 9:30am
- 0900, 930, 09:00
Amounts of hours and minutes are entered using the h button.
- 9:30h = 9 hours and 30 minutes
Settings
Time Mode
Sets whether times entered should be treated as 12 or 24 hour format.
- 12 hour: 9 to 5 = 8h
- 24 hour: 9 to 5 = 09:00 to 05:00 = 20h
Selecting Mixed will allow both 12 and 24 hour times to be entered into the same expression and the result will be adjusted accordingly.
- 9am + 1h + 15:00 + 1h + 17:00 + 1h = 20:00
- 9am + 1h + 3:00pm + 1h + 17:00 + 1h = 8pm
Display Format
Sets the style of the result.
Simplified format removes empty values and expands hours and minutes values into days, hours and minutes where required.
- 9:00am = 9am
- 26:15h = 1d 2h 15m
- 24:00h = 1d
Standard format displays all results as hours and minutes.
- 9:00am = 9:00am
- 26:15h = 26:15h
Time Conversions
Time to Time can also be used to convert times between 12 and 24 hour formats.
Set the time mode to 12 hour then enter a 24 hour time to get its result as a 12 hour time.
- 17:30 = 5:30pm
The same works for 12 hour times entered when set to 24 hour mode.
- 5:30pm = 17:30
You can also set the display format to Simplified and find the amount of days from hours.
- 52h = 2d 4h
